Manu Parashivappa

Steve Jobs is not an engineer but he pursued a designing course when he dropped out of Havard. Completing the course he realised that to create something unique the geometry, asthetics, feel, emotion and many such ignored aspects plays a major role. He felt that the walkman, which was a device that people carried with them back in 1970's to listen to music, was not supposed to be the way it was.

He worked for around a year and launched the first version of iPod which could get you 1000 songs in your pocket and you know the size of the iPod. Was it the design, was it the size, was it the number of songs it could play or was it the feel of owning it ?

None. It was him. He wanted a music player that was small, handy and lots of music in it.
